POSITION SUMMARY AND SCOPE OF RESONSIBILITY

Lake Meridian Water District invites all qualified applicants to apply for the position of Water Service Technician II (WT-II). The District is located in the Lake Meridian area and serves a population of 20,000 people with 6,500 connections. The Water Service Technician II reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Under general supervision of the Operations Manager, skilled work is performed in the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of the District's water system. The (WT-II) is the entry/middle level class in the District’s field employee classification. Incumbents routinely exercise independent judgment in the performance of duties and may be called on to train lower-level Water Service Technicians.

Other areas of responsibility are the water quality program, water treatment plants and SCADA system. The (WT-II) serves on a 24-hour duty roster and ensures effective and reliable water services are provided to customers throughout the District.

The salary range is $6,150.88 - $8,025.50 with a hiring range of $6,150.88 - $6,335.40 DOE. Benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, HRA-VEBA and PERS retirement.
