POSITION SUMMARY AND SCOPE OF RESONSIBILITY

Lake Meridian Water District is accepting applications for two Temporary Seasonal Utility Workers. This temporary position will be assigned to the Maintenance and Operations Department. The successful candidate will support regular full time district employees by assisting with routine maintenance to include: fire hydrant painting, valve exercising, vegetation management, and building maintenance. This temporary position will continue through the summer months.

This position requires a valid Washington State Drivers license and a High School Diploma or GED.  Job duties will include working in adverse weather conditions and the ability to perform manual tasks involving physical strength and endurance. Starting pay is $15.30-$16.23 per hour DOQ.

Physical Requirements: This position regularly requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.

Lifting / Exertion Requirements:  Candidate will be required to exert up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force consistently to move and/or transfer objects to different locations.
